Defender for dockers installed via snap

L1 Bithead

Hello everyone.

I'm using Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and I installed docker via snap to run containers. When I install a container defender on this host, I get the following error:

invalid output path: directory "/var/lib/twistlock" does not exist.
Failed to copy from container twistlock_data:/prisma-static-data/twistlock-defender.service to host at /var/lib/twistlock/scripts/.
Failed to run twistlock.sh.

If I install docker via apt-get, Defender get installed with no issues. Is Defender incompatible with dockers installed via snap?

Hi,

Did you find a fix for this issue? Having it on Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS installed docker to run Panhandler tool and wanted to test Defender on it.

Getting this error:

invalid output path: directory "/var/lib/twistlock" does not exist.
Failed to copy from container twistlock_data:/prisma-static-data/twistlock-defender.service to host at /var/lib/twistlock/scripts/.
Failed to run twistlock.sh.

Hi Kevin.

I got confirmation from Palo Alto Support Team that this kind of docker deployment is not supported for Defenders.
