Port 5060 Remains Blocked Despite Threat Exemption

L1 Bithead

Port 5060 is still being blocked even after the security threat (Threat ID 40016) responsible for the block was added to the exemption list. We’ve already applied the threat exemption to the corresponding security policy, and also cleared the session browser for the specific IP address experiencing blocked traffic on port 5060. However, the issue still persists with the same result.

Hi @Glenyvie ,

Thanks for info, reverify the traffic logs and reason for traffic blocking also try to move the policy on top and do the test if security policy looks correct according to traffic logs.

Best Regards,

Mohammad Talib

Hi @mshekh ,

Thank you for your response. We already applied the adjustments you mentioned; however, the issue still persisted. After performing all necessary adjustments and validations, we decided to proceed with a firewall reboot. Following the reboot, port 500 started working again.

We are unsure why a reboot was required for this to take effect, as rebooting the firewall is generally not considered a best practice for resolving such issues.
