I'm trying to find out if there's already a miner that someone's created for windows update URLs/IPs. I am using the O365 one with reasonable success, so I'd like to incorporate the windows updates into minemeld and take advantage of the dynamic list functionality for some of my rules.

Has anyone successfully setup a TAP interface on a pair of 5220s with multiple VRs to send the traffic to a single TAP interface/zone? Trying to integrate a sensor appliance in, but it's not passing any traffic...open to any suggestions at this point.

I've got our wildcard certificate on our minemeld server, which shows up perfectly fine when i go to the web UI through Opera to manage the server. But, when I try to use the minemeld feeds in EDLs on my 5220s, I get an error that says certificate validation failed.
Is it an issue with wildcard certificates, or is there something else I should be looking at?

That definitely helped. I ended up having to just look for the com.<app> files to see if they were present. Assuming they are, the default is that they run automatically and the users aren't able to disable them themselves, so it got the job done. Appreciate the assist @kiwi

I've got our PA setup to block file types that are risky. But, I've found a problem with Symantec LiveUpdate pulling down the update files it needs. It uses a couple odd file types that aren't in the list as types that I can allow for a profile. Is there a way to add custom file extensions that I can use to match against, or is there another way to go about only allowing the specific file types that Symantec uses? I was looking for an app-id that I could match against for Symantec or LiveUpdate, but there doesn't appear there is an ID for that, so any ideas are appreciated.

I've recently turned on HIP profiles for our windows users, checking to see if our patch management and AV is running by looking at processes. I need to do the same thing for some of our Mac users, but I'm striking out. What is the best way to verify something running as a process via globalprotect on a Mac?

This will come in handy for sure going forward. ended up switching to the app rule for sflow and getting rid of the port-based config, and now it's allowing the traffic through. Thanks for the info!

That ended up doing the trick. Still not sure why some sites worked and others didn't, but when I switched to the app rule, it started passing traffic. thanks again for the help!

I'm seeing an odd issue where I've got a rule allowing sflow traffic coming from a WAN zone into my server zone where my monitoring servers sit. Most of the traffic passes as it should, but there are random subnets where the rule is being denied with it showing it is hitting the default deny policy. The only filtering on the rule is for port 2055, coming from the WAN zone and into the server zone. Any ideas?
