@deanm Finally got this working. My certificate issue was related to using a Windows CA. This article help me resolve the certificate problem (https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/general-articles/how-to-generate-new-minemeld-https-cert/ta-p/101331). Everything is working now as expected.

@deanm I create the /var/lib/minemeld directory and copied the certs over to it. I tweaked my script to start the container and doing a "sudo docker logs minemeld" shows a lot of cert errors. I tried several different certs: just host certs, combined host and key certs and combined host, key and ca chain certs, and go complaints on all of them. The Minemeld instance would not start because of this.

Thank you for this article. I was able to get this to run on Ubuntu 21.04 with no issues. Except, I can't figure out how to do the certificates. From the other posts, looks like the spot to put the certificates is in /var/lib/minemeld folder. I don't have that. Everything looks like it's in the /var/lib/docker/overlay2/ directory with 2 crazy long numbers with either merge or diff in the directory path, then you get /var/lib/minemeld and /etc/nginx at the end of the path string. Has anyone ran into this?

Hello -- I did a manual install of Minemeld on Ubuntu 14.04. That is working in the default setup. The miners are working and there is data in the inboundfeedhc feed. Nothing in the LC or MC feeds.
When I try to add the url of the inboundfeedhc as a External Dynamic List in our 3020 w/ v7.1.11 PANOS, it always says:
I found an article about turning off the https, and that didn't work. Found another article to generate a cert from your CA on your firewall, and that didn't work.
Also, this is suppose to be a "IP list"? Because I tried domain and url list types and that didn't work either.

I need this too. I got a request from a manager, that they need a user activity report on someone for the months of Nov and Dec and it only shows for two days in Dec. I even tried a "last 7 days" report. The "last 7 days" reported back only on one day of activity. Both reports were in that 120 page range. One was 124 pages and the other was 123 pages. Needless to say, my manager is not happy.

Hello, I would like to make a feature request to change the content updated email. What's in there is good, but with the impact that App-ID can bring to internet access, I think PA should add something like change control infomation in the email. When a app is introduce or changed it should give a brief description and maybe a few websites that might be affected. Especially if the website(s) are very popular. For example, we ran into this when the 'sharepoint' app was introduce. Our users were not able to get to http://office.microsoft.com anymore to get templates. I did show session in the CLI in order to find this out that it was getting deny because the 'sharepoint' app was not applied to their rule, and not that something was wrong with 'web-browsing'. Then I apply the app to all my firewall rules. If maybe I could have seen that kind of info before hand I could made the changes to the firewall rules before the users had to notice it. Thanks for the suggestions. I already use a similar tool called BareMetalGrep. I'm looking for the kind of functionality you get with a user report on the monitor page. Searching works but I need to extract info from all the csv files and produce a single output. Preferably in pdf format. For example, search on a username/threat/deny action and produce a report on the results. Hope this makes better sense.
