On the TAC case we opened Palo confirmed that they got a new SDK from Opsswat which can detect new version of Sophos. TAC thinks that this new version will be included in the next GP version release but have no confirmation yet.

Uninstall and Reinstall stopped working. When sophos is reinstalled it is at version 2.20.11, this version works but due to automatic updates enabled, it upgrades it self to 2.20.13 and this version breaks HIP checks.. Hope there will be a fix soon...

Have same issue with MAC's running 10.15.x. We are using GP v5.1.3. However, Windows work fine and do not have same issue. Opened up a case with TAC and hoping for a update/fix soon..

Great. Thank you for quick response. Couple of questions. If user-authentication is transparently happening(lets assume certs are being used), then users will not see "authentication failed" message and move forward with associating to next gateway. ? If gateways are doing second factor (token for example), then would that 1025th user, who reaches an already maxed-out gateway, see an option to enter 2fa-token (or) not.? If yes, and 2FA-input is provided, will the user then see an "authentication failed" message from the maxed-out gateway and then GP-client will move on to next gateway.? Hello Community, Looking for more details on firewall behavior after reaching max-users limit on Global protect. For example, Assume a portal with 4 gateways in different regions. If one of the gateway(Lets assume PA-3020) which has capacity of 1024 concurrent connections, reached its maximum limit. what will happen if user 1025 tries to reach 3020 during latency calculations. Will GP client receive a response to TLS/SSL negotiation or will it not respond to the request. Looking for details. Tried to find more details but no luck. Any help is appreciated.

Sorry for late replies. Issue is Proxy settings dont get copied over to GP Virtual interface. According to our SE and TAC this feature will be supported in GP 5.1. Hopefully this will work.

In our company, we do not allow split tunneling and access to Internet(while on VPN) happens via only proxy. We are using on-demand mode. Once MAC users connect to GP,proxy settings apply. Only browser which works in this setup is Mozilla Firefox. Is there a fix for this. ? Has any one run into this issue. This setup worked fine when we were on Cisco and Juniper world. 1) Split tunnel is not an option. 2) PBF is not an option as I have to burn up an interface at every gateway to send traffic to the proxy.

Posted this on threat discussions but havent had any responses. Please help me understand what will happen in this case. I would like to understand what will happen to Threat Protection and AntiVirus(TPAV) in the following case. Both firewalls have "allow" non-syn-tcp turned on. Each firewall is only seeing half of the session and has no idea about the other half. My questions is will Palo be able to detect any threats or vulnerabilities, (or) does it need to see a bi-directional flow/session to kick in TPAV parameters. Please let me know for any questions in case I am not clear.

Hello All, I understand that there is show session meter, show session id and also show system statistics session But I would like to find out how many maximum connections were made in a second, since my firewall last rebooted. I am looking for a number, which tells me what is the maximum connections my firewall made in a second since it rebooted last. same as Number of sessions created since bootup: 861626602322 Is there an easy way to look into this. ? Super user (read only) should work for API calls. Can you share your curl script after sanitizing the passwords. You can always use curl -k to ignore the cert issues.
