PA TAC Update is :
This behavior is observed on PAN 10.1.6.There is no target fix for this bug.
As the resolution is either remove the domain name (if not required) and if required then there should not be any space. PAN-196841 will be fixed as with same configuration we observed that content and dynamic updates working fine on PAN OS 10.1.3. The issue was due to invalid domain string name configured on the firewall under General setting>>Domain. Device --> Setup --> Management --> General Settings --> Domain --> +We removed the domain and issue got fixed.
Recently there was a fix added to validate all hostname/domain name strings from sysdagent. Hence quite possible that this string was accepted in earlier versions

Hi,
I have upgraded the PAN-OS to 10.1.6, But still the Same Issue, Unable to resolve FQDN getting " Unknow Host: www.google.com".
Need Help to address the issue.

Hi Every one, We have recently upgraded PA-820 to PA-OS 10.1.5. After that, we observed we cannot resolve any FQDN from the firewall. *. We have verified the DNS setting Device>Setup>Services> Primary as 8.8.8.8 and local. *. We have tested by changing the service route of DNS to LAN, WAN, and default and allowed complete access in policy still no use. *. We have restarted MGMT server and DNS-Proxy process but still, no use getting errors as " ping: unknown host FQDN" * Also observed it is working file in machines behind this firewall. Only unable to resolve from firewall CLI. Can anyone please help me to address this issue.

Hi @aleksandar.astardzhiev : Thanks for your response. In the File Blocking profile, I have set the Application to Any, File Type to Any, Direction to Both, and Action Block. Applied All other profiles to default. When I clicked on the download link, initially file download showed as Failed-Network Error, when I click on Resume Download, it started downloading. In the Data Filtering logs, the File Name is identified correctly and the file type is identified as .iso file and Action is showing as Deny. But still the same issue. I have attached the Logs for reference. Please suggest any changes that need to perform to address the issue.

Hi Everyone, I am unable to block the ".iso" & ".txt" file download with File Blocking Profile, I am able to block the rest of the files format. same issue with HTTP and HTTPS traffic. I have enabled decryption for HTTPS traffic but still the same issue. Even it's not blocking for HTTP traffic. Below are the link from where I am trying to download the file. I have set any file type and direction as both in the file blocking profile. We are trying to upgrade the PAN-OS of PA-850 to 9.1.13-h3 from 9.1.11-h3. initially when clicking on install getting an error as " The software manager is currently in use. Please try again later". then we have run the command "debug swm unlock" in CLI.
After that when trying to install get an error as "Error: findfs: unable to resolve 'LABEL=sysroot0' ". when I have tried to view the "debug swm status" its showing as "server error: Failed to execute the command". Even i have tried to install PAN-OS from CLI still get the same error. i have tested by restarting the management server but still getting the same error.
After checking some live community discussions, found we need to do a factory reset. But we are unable to do that, as the firewall is at a remote location so its difficult to get console access.
Please suggest if any workarounds.
