Hello all. We are demoing ManageEngine's OpUtils which advertises it can monitor Palo Alto DHCP scopes. I have it connecting to one of our palos via Web API credentials just fine, it just doesnt return any data about the DHCP that is configured. I was curious if anyone had any advice on special configuration needed or special permissions? If has experienced anything similar?

Currently we have a GP vpn setup for our mobile devices. We have are doing certificate based authentication, certificate is pushed out through an MDM. Basically if your device has this cert, your device connects. Is there a way to capture or pass through connected user information, for example username, email, etc.? Right now when looking at the GP monitor logs, it displays the source user as our public IP/CN of the cert. This would help to see who is connected or not, since the hostname field is whatever the mobile device is set to.

When configuring this, when it comes to portal configuration, do I edit our existing external portal? In the portal configuration assuming im using our existing external portal, do I change the interface to the internal interface/IP?

Hello everyone. I am hoping to have some guidance/help on figuring out what I am missing with our internal gateway. Prior to my employment there was an external gateway setup and is working. I have been tasked to create an internal gateway for this same external vpn. I used this video as a guide to setup the internal GW portion of the vpn. When testing, the vpn on my phone detects internal network, but it does not pass any traffic. Looking at traffic logs, I do not see any blocks, looking at global protect logs, it shows successful. Not exactly sure what I am missing.

Thank you for the wealth of information. After reading and checking out the link, it may be something very similar happening. I am starting to guess, that there is a remote process logging into the devices that may be causing the second id mapping. I am going to try the work around and add the privileged accounts to the exclude list. Thank you again for the help.

We are using active directory logs. We have the agents on two domain controllers. Time out is set to 2700 seconds (45 Min.)

I finally was able to get some fresh screen shots. I got a screen shots from the traffic log, user-id log, and url filter log. I think we can take the global protect out of the equation. This is happening to internal users as well. In this example, end user tried to go to you tube, got a blocked page, but it showed his username as the manadmin user. Not his user account.

We are using User Identification and have the user-id agent running on 2 different AD servers. Also using global protect. When looking at traffic logs I can filter on my GlobalProtect VPN IP, I can see the source user of my user account, and a source user of another account. When looking user-id mappings, and look at my VPN IP, I only see my user account. Any idea what would be causing this?
