So I am trying to migrate a large Fortigate firewall to Palo using expedition.   I have used Expedition with Cisco before, but the Fortigate is throwing me for a loop.   After import of the Fortigate config, I have a root, shared, and the actual vdom that has the firewall rules I am interested in migrating.   It has caused a lot of odd things in the migrated configuration before I begin working with it. A lot of triplicate address objects. A lot of objects with purple gears. Address objects with 0.0.0.0 addresses instead.   I'm migrating this all over to a Palo with a single vsys. I already can see th e policy based  L2L VPN tunnels did not migrate correctly.   I have been doing the usual recommended workflow. I am trying to merge duplicate objects and delete unused objects. But some of these objects refuse to merge. And some purple gear objects can't be deleted either.   I suspect this has something to do with what template the particular one of the triplicate object is. I have run into a bug that seems to have come along in hotfix 1.64 back in June. In Chrome when working in a project.   Software versions Version 114.0.5735.198 (Official Build) (arm64) Expedition 1.65 Client PC Apple MAC M2 Ultra Ventura 13.4.1c   When in a project under network, the VPN tab, the navigation buttons on the left side disappear. Has anybody been able to get this to work? All I have are these Mac M2 Pro highend macbooks with paralells. lol And piles of firewalls to migrate. I managed to get Ubuntu arm installed and got the expedition install script to run. But on reboot, some dependency got installed that loads the gui, but without a terminal. And the web server didn't work.   hope I am not crewed here. Wish apple would choose a CPU and STICK WITH IT lol ... View more

Hello all,   I am using Expedition version 1.2.40 running on Ubuntu 20.04.5 Server.   Everything is apt updated and upgraded to latest versions as of 10/14/2022.   I am migrating a configuration from a Cisco ASA to a PA 440 device.   I have imported the 440 base configuration into expedition. I also imported my ASA configuration into expedition.   I cleaned my configuration and am now ready to export. When I try to drag vsys1 over to the base configuration vsys 1 and drop the screen flashes, and then the merge button does not ungrey to allow merging.   I don't have any odd objects or other configurations. everything is green in the config panels. How would I troubleshoot this issue? I'm not sure where to go look for debugging information.   Thanks for any assistance you can provide I have about 150 more firewalls to migrate so I need to get this figured out. LOL. ... View more
