Thanks for the quick response-- that looks exactly like what I have configured. I'm just not sure about the need to specify the method (SMS,PUSH, etc.) on the password line. Change is hard when it comes to stuff like this and our users! Still, it is a very flexible system and seems like a good fit for us outside of that one issue... J

Were you able to get the duo to work with the default integration (radius_server_iframe)? I was told to drop back to using the radius_server_concat method, which is a bit rough around the edges. My problem was that the global protect authentication dialog for the second factor would pop up with script in the prompt.... Thanks, J

Actually, the procedure only requires that the base image be present to do an update. So for example -- to update to 4.1.6, you would only need 4.1.0 downloaded to the PAN so that 4.1.6 could be directly installed. J

OTTOMH -- our biggest issue was the loss of NetConnect, and the use of Global Protect in it's place. (It works, but GP is kind of Beta quality as far as the unlicensed mode goes...)

I've read the authentication doc, but have not found a suitable solution for limiting access to a single hosted site via the PA. Is there something I am overlooking? What I'd like to do: Host a test site, but only offer access to users we hand pick. It would be fine if we had to provide credentials of some sort to these users, but we do not want to open up access to the whole internet. Thanks in advance for any ideas. J

My experience with NLB (previously wlb) is that it is highly dependent on the switches to which the cluster uplinks as well. What makes this especially difficult, is that the terms for every switch vendor and indeed the NLB documentation use similar, but not identical terms to describe the needed features to make NLB function. In our case, the switches are not really documented in the same terminology, so it makes it very difficult to figure out what is needed. So while the PA is relevant, it really is only one part of a much more complicated system.

I would also like to chime in that we are looking for a good way to handle our long-standing NLB clusters. If there were better information around, we would have long ago switched from a unicast approach to anything better than running things off (cringe) HUBS.

Looking at the new features in 4.0, it is not apparent whether the reporting in the GUI would have a complete picture in an Active Active HA configuration. Would it? Or would panorama be needed to do aggregated traffic and activity reporting?
