Has anyone worked out a way to install minemeld in Ubuntu 18.04?
I was using https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/minemeld-articles/manually-install-minemeld-on-ubuntu-16-04/ta-p/253336 to install Minemeld into Unbuntu 18.04.
When I get to Step 9 and run the following cmd to check that minemeld is installed and running I get the following
sudo: /opt/minemeld/engine/current/bin/supervisorctl: command not found
I cannot get past this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We've already figured out the problem. We have in Azure a GW configured as active/active with 2 IPs. In our part we have 2 APs configured in active/passive but with 2 public IPs from 2 different operators. Operator 1 -tunnel - IP1 Azure Operator 2 -tunnel - IP2 Azure. It turns out that Azure tries to connect IP2 with Operator1 and IP1 with Operator2. This is the normal operation of Azure. Because I only have a virtual routing I can not perform these tunnels.

I don't have any solution.
I've reinstalled Minemeld and it's working. But days later it stops working again. It shows data in the miner, in the processor but not in the output.
When it fails, I try to uninstall the plug-in and reinstall it and therefore generate the miner, processor and output again. It doesn't work if I don't do the first step.
When I install the plugin from github, I copy the link and the master version, 0.1 and 0.11 comes out. Choose which one you choose, always install version 0.1.

Thanks for the info. I will definately give this a try when time permits, other projects have just taken presendence so will have to revisit in a couple of months (hopefully sooner).
I've found if I make minimal config changes one at a time and let them marinate after commit for a bit before making any other changes, I have a better chance at avoiding the issue. It's just slow going to get configured up like this or make any changes.

Hi, I had some security rules to deny all the traffic that I generated with my dynamic lists and MInemeld. As I was reading it was better to make the denial of this traffic instead of "Polices / Security" in "Policies / Policy Based Forwarding". The problem I have is that now I do not see the matching of the denials of these rules. Before I could filter by the rule and see the traffic denied by this rule in Monitor / Log / Traffic. Where can you see the traffic that has been denied in "Policies / Policy Based Forwarding". I do not see it appear in Monitor / Log / Traffic. Regards

Super user (read only) should work for API calls. Can you share your curl script after sanitizing the passwords. You can always use curl -k to ignore the cert issues.

You can also enable QoS on a physical interface (you don't need to actually use it for anything, just enable it). This will then activate a Statistics link on the Network --> QoS page for that interface. If you click that link, you get a real-time view of the network traffic passing through that physical interface. And there are sub-tabs in that dialog that shows the Applications, Source/Destination Users, Security Policies, and QoS Policies that are generating the traffic. The data displayed is for the last 60 seconds worth of traffic, I believe.

Hi, I have Pa-500 with firmware 7.1.6 I have created dns registers for laptops, pc and mobile phones (inverse and direct zones). In Monitor/Logs/Traffic. When I check resolve hostname. It resolves sources only for laptops or pc are in domain. It does not resolve mobile phones (Android and Iphones). If I make a ping from cli Pa-500. Ex. ping host android-me, it resolves and answers the ping. I want to identify the mobiles. Why does it not resolve? how could I show the dns name in log? Phones are register a AP by wpa2. Thank you.

Hi @Sistemas_SanLucar,
ransomwaretracker.RW_IPBL should be connected to an aggregator based on stdlib.aggregatorIPv4Outbound or stdlib.aggregatorIPv4Generic because the indicators generated have direction set to outbound (they are C2). The inbound aggregator collects only indicators with direction set to inbound or with no direction attribute at all.
You can check this by clicking on one of the indicators in the LOGS view. You will see a DROP generated by the indbound aggregator.
