Why is is that when viewing a discussion topic I get redirected to the goofy Pal Alto Networks Live page with the polling graphs?  I go into Knowledge Point, click on any discussion topic then when I click to return to go back to where I started, I am taken to the PAN Live page. Hello, What information is the Traffic Log's "Destination" column giving me? We are just setting up a pair of PA-500s and I am perusing through the traffic log and noticed that the destination column doesn't seem to reflect the website destination that a user has tried to go to.  Instead it seems to only list either the DNS name of the destination server for the site beinig accessed or the destination IP address.  This is very confusing for troubleshooting purposes like when a user calls me with trouble accessing a site and I tell them to go to the site now and I can't tell that they have hit the site.  Not to mention the fact that it takes like 30 seconds for their traffic to even make it into the Traffic log.  We did not purchase the URL filtering license since we have a full Websense Security Suite in place here.   It may be helpful to have an additional column that gives the "User Requested Destination" information. So that if a user tries to go to "www.Yahoo.com", I see "www.Yahoo.com" in that part of the log.  Maybe this is available in the URL filtering log but since I do not have that licensed, I am unable to view any content there. In OS 3.1, there appears to be a new tool available (reading from 3.1 Release Notes) called the Trace Session Tool.  Can some one explain what this does?  I am afraid I am finding the included explanation a bit vague since I do not have the OS installed to play with on my evaluation unit. Greetings, During my evaluation of a PAN device, I have found I have many questions regarding the capabilities of the device.  I won't list them all in this one post but maybe just several for now.  If it would be better to list these as separate posts, please let me know. 1.  Does the device do any sort of reverse proxying for web servers?  OWA, Sharepoint? 2. Can the Logs be configured to refresh any faster than 10 seconds.  My current firewall is at least one second.  Makes it nice to see when a bit of traffic hits the FW. 3. Can the device to HTTP to HTTPS redirection?  Enable users to type http and automatically be redirected to the actual https web page. 4. Can the traffic logs be "colored" so that allowed rules appear as green , while blocked rules appear as red?  Or any color the admin wants... 5. When creating RULES, searching for Applications can be trying.  I was interested in adding the HTTP protocol to a rule in the PAN but when I typed HTTP(or even “http”) into the Application search field all I got were items like http-audio, http-proxy, http-tunnel, http-video and httport.  I finally found the lowly HTTP protocol buried in a description for the Application called “web-browsing”.  Is there a better way to search for standard protocols for use in a rule? The device we are evaulating is curentlu using OS version 3.08, I believe.  Would the newest OS address any of the above issues? Thanks in advance! ... View more
