Now my users have shifted to running Netflix in a browser *without* SSL. I don't have a certificate exchange to look at any longer. Any suggestions for how to get there for just plain old web browsing? And, yes, the device apparently doesn't recognize NetFlix in a browser on port 80 either... Thanks! Patrick

I'm trying to wrestle down some NetFlix and Twitch users on my network. Because they're running in a browser, the application match for their traffic is only "SSL". However, I know that anything headed for nflxvideo.net is NetFlix traffic, for example. I can't find a way to apply QoS policy based on a wildcard match against the source DNS name. I don't have a FQND--I have a partially qualified domain name. Any ideas? Thanks Pat

I'm sure this is probably a rookie mistake, but I have to ask... I've set up our Meraki access points to syslog to my PA500 firewall. I'm successfully getting user-id to IP address mappings (I can see them in the output of "show user ip-user-mapping all" in the CLI). However, in the web interface, nothing is showing up in the source user column. I've looked in the traffic logs, the URL filtering logs, the User Activity area of the ACC tab (Network Activity). Nothing. It feels like there's some setting I'm missing, but I can't find it. Any help for the rookie would be appreciated.

I looked at system resources (show system resources follow). I'm not seeing huge CPU utilization (load average often less than 2). I restarted the mgmt process last week. I don't think this made any noticable difference. BTW, I have the 2 GB RAM model of the PA-500.

Interesting that it's not suggested. The device certainly offered the upgrade to me. Odd that the device offered an upgrade that's not fully "cooked" for this platform.

The poor performance was more than 24 hours after the upgrade. It's pretty consistently slow on the management side. The device seems to be keeping up with moving traffic.

Has anyone else noticed that the management functions through the web interface are incredibly slow with 8.0.2? Committing even a simple change brought these timings: - 1:10 just to get the progress bar beyond zero - 3:42 to complete the commit. Seems awfully slow....
