Recently, we've been having an issue with assigning secondary IPs to our Azure PA VMs where if we add a new IP, it doesn't seem to apply until we add a second IP. After the 2nd IP is added, the first starts working but the 2nd doesn't work. The Palo interfaces are set to DHCP and IPs are assigned to the Azure NIC. Same issue on 3 firewalls in different regions running PAN-OS 9.1.7/8. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this issue? Also, unsure if it's an Azure or PAN issue.

Hi, from what I can remember: 1. Disabled the HA Preemptive Election setting on both devices 2. Suspend HA on Primary firewall to failover to Passive device 3. Move Primary to new site and reconfigure as necessary 4. Move Secondary to new site 5. Sync changes from Primary to Secondary 6. Re-enable the Preemtive option

I'm having a bit of trouble with the format for exporting traffic logs from Panorama for a particular user. I've setup the CLI command as below but the resulting csv file is empty. scp export log traffic query "user.src equals <username>" ... scp export log traffic query "username equals <username>" ... I've also tried "equal" instead of "equals" but not having much luck. Does anyone know what the correct format should be to query the username? Thanks, Ash

We experience many similar issues with a missing dll error when upgrading from 3.0.3 to 3.1.6. Repairing MS Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable resolved the issue in our cases.

Hi Imori,
I did try this at first but got an error when accessing the URL. Have just tested it again with entries for both the IP and FQDN but can only access the URL when the "Palo Alto Updates " service route is set to the internal.
Would have been nice to set a specific destination route and still have Palo Alto Updates going out via the external interface.

Looks like the issue was caused by our Palo Alto Updates service route set to the external interface and the MineMeld URL being internally accessible only. Changed the serrvice route to default and then the EDBLSource was accessible.

I have setup MineMeld on a VM and it seems to be working correctly but, when I setup the EDBL on a PAN firewall and test it, I get a " URL access error" message on the firewall. I can access the feed if I put the URL into a browser and can see the list of addresses.
I get the same error whether using the IP or FQDN as the Source. I've even gone as far as configuring MineMeld with our 3rd-party wildcard certificate in case the self-signed certificate was causing the issue, but this hasn't helped.
Any advice would be appriciated.

I have been advised that doing this would not cause any licensing issues. It would only cause a license issue if you moved both appliances to separate locations and then ran them as standalone appliances from there on in.

We currently have a HA pair configured in a data centre and will soon be moving to a new site. For a seemless migration, we were wondering if there are any issues with or considerations we'd need to make if we were to disable HA and remove the HA config, reset and move the passive device to the new site to get it up and running, then move the device from the old DC to the new site and join it as the passive device?
In my head, it seems straight-forward, but want to make sure I havent missed anything.
