Hi all,
Doing some testing with a PAN-OS v6.0.0 VM-100. The command ‘set system setting logging default-policy-logging 300’ is configured so I am seeing log entries for traffic that is being blocked by the implicit deny rule for inter-zone traffic.
If I enable a security policy that permits any application I’m able to play a video on webpage: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-35472617
If I enable a policy with some application filtering I am now unble to play the video (which I expect) however I am not seeing anything being denied in the log.
This is a problem for me as I need to be able to see what exactly is being blocked in order to permit the appropriate application(s).
Can anyone suggest why I might be having this issue?

Does anyone know what the best certificate to use on a Palo is please? We have a customer who is failing PCI compliance testing as we are using a self signed certificate which was generated on the Palo for Global Protect. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks

If I enable SSL decryption and the PAN effectively works as a "man-in-the middle", the client recieves a cert error saying the certificate has not been generated by the destination server. No problem, as I can add the PAN cert as a trusted cert in my organisation. However, how does the PAN protect from recieving a spoofed cert from the destination server? If the PAN wasn't in place, my WIndows client would tell me the cert doesn't match. Does the PAN run any such tests and if so, how does it inform me? Regards Neil

Hi, We are also having the same issue. Since upgrading our Palo to 4.1.2 from 4.1.0 Global Protect has stopped working and we have users who now not able to login. We are having authentication issues when using RADIUS which was working fine prior to upgrading. Many Thanks Harsh

Hi James I did find that link, but what does "non-functional" mean? an interface down, or the whole device going down? I've also got link monitoring set on the primary, but not the secondary. Would that be causing issues? I thought the primary config would sync to the secondary, but it doesn't.

I've setup an HA Pair with Primary Priority of 10 and a secondary of 20 (both with Pre-empt enabled). The Primary keeps going into Suspended state.. what would cause this?

We have a customer using SSLVPN for users and 3rd-party peers. A 3rd party of theirs is using the SSL VPN client. It doesn't seem to work when co-existing on a PC with other clients on it (Cisco, Checkpoint and others) but does work if it's the only client software on the PC. Can anyone confirm compatability of the PAN SSL Client with other clients.

We have a customer who has users in UAe, where SSL 443 is blocked. This means they are unable to get through the initial authentication so can't get the SSL VPN connection working. Can this initial port be changed?

I'm working with djmac... here's some more info for you... I have 4x OSS boxes. They are currently 3.08 with no dynamic updates on them. How can I build one up to match the software version of the promary box (running 3.1.6)? The OSS box will not update from the website, as it says it doesn't have a support licence. I have downloaded the software for 3.1.0 and 3.1.6, but the upgrade fails, stating a newer threat db is needed. So I downloaded the threat and AV files to upgrade locally, but I get the following error: content update failed with the following messages: Failed to unbundle file /opt/pancfg/mgmt/content-images/panupv2-all-contents-222-823 There MUST be an easier way to build up an OSS box to match the current running versions of the Primary box??
