Hi there The lack of licence is the main issue, up until now I didnt know I needed it until. Im guessing is since BBC iplare changed to requiring a logon that ssl became an issue. We only use this set of firewalls for an offshore project once a year for about two months so as its all offshore its not the time to change the licences. A list of streaming services to get started would be appreciated as bandwidth is charge by the MB. Thanks

Is it possiblt to block all streaming sites without URL filtering? Im looking to stop things like iplayer and basically all streaming as if using up a lot of bandwidth, yjinkgs like iplayer. It looks like its showing up as ssl traffic on the firewall.

Hi there Im seeing NAT DIPP fallbacks quite a lot relating to a NAT rule, theres does not appear anything not working so im wondering if its somehting that im not noticing work. Ocasionally it feels more sluggish that it should when browsing web pages but thats about the only thing. There only one nat on the firewalls its set to fall back to an interface address. Any suggesions appreciate.

Hi there I was on 5.01-h1, upgrading to 5.05 looks like its sorted that problem, when copying files the dataplane is around 2%. Thanks

Hi there Ive setup a system where i have our data server on the trusted area, our partners are on a untrusted lan area and have access to a few of our data shares. If the copy files using smb the datplane goes up to 98%, ive used an application overide and stopped server response checking to imporve the data performance, is there a way of reucing the impact on the cpu without killing the data copy performance? Im using a pa200, there are about 20 staff on this project so it should not be heavily loaded.

Hi there Ive set up the firewall with a trusted lan for staff and untrusted lan for visitors. I don want the visitor lan to access the staff lan, however the first rule created was to allow webbrowsing, i cloned it and added the visitor source addess to the rule, however anything on the visitor side cannot access any web site. Ive allowed dns from a staff lan dns server and i have check to allows resolution on, whe i look at the logs it shows the sender ip, with the correct rule classification but shows traffic as incomplete. The staff rule works ok, is there anything obvious im missing? Thanks.

Ive confighred APC network shutdown on my windows servers but im not sure if i can do the same for the firewalls. I did something similar with my checkpoin firewalls from expert mode, but i used the redhat varient of the ups software which is what checkpoints kit is based on. Im not sure what panos5 is bassed on or if i can just use generic linux install files or if its possible to install extra software on the os, or if it has an easy to use ups client ive not noticed yet. Any ideas appreciated.

Im in the process of setting up a pair of pa200 for ha, ive read through the documentation but im not clear on a few things. The PA200, if i do an update on the FW for either software of dynamic updates it uses the management port to do the work. If I configure HA I will need to use the management port and one of the ethernet ports, the other three are allocated with eth1 being used for the WAN link. If i do a software update, do I need to make a configuration change to get the FW to initiate the update from eth1 rather than the in use management port.
