Hello , I faced a similar issue where the the website was not accessible when the traffic goes via Paloalto device. But the website is accessible from other network without PA. This may be due to the packets from the web Server not having the window-scale information inside TCP packets. Paloalto will by default drop such TCP packets even though traffic is allowed in security policy. For this you can check the TCP settings in Device--> Setup--> Session--> TCP Settings, change the Asymmetric path to bypass ( By default it will be drop ) It worked for me.. This will be the mis configuration in Web Server. If the Window-Scale details are not seen in TCP packets from Server reply, paloalto considers it as a asymmetric reply and will drop. we can configure the Zone protection profile as well on the Untrust zone as well under ZoneProtection profile --> add --> Packet based Attack Protection -- TCP Drop --> Asymmetric Drop --> Bypass. And call this profile in Zone But as a security best practice this is not recommended as it might give chance to attacks like IP spoofing and sequence number prediction. We cannot have IP based or URL based bypass for this kind of issue. Hope this helps... 🙂 🙂 Regards, Sandeep

Hello , I could able to test the installation of Traps agent on endpoint with SecureBoot enabled. I could install it without any hassle. Also I verified disabling it and install, I did not find any difference. Also I verified enabling and disabling Driver Signing Enforcement and install the agent. I could able to install the agent and it is communicating with the ESM server. Below is the screenshot for the same. installation traps agent with Secure Boot enabled May be the issue was with one perticular endpoint. Couldnt really get the root cause. Thankyou.. Hello Dears, When I tried installing Traps agent 4.2.0 , it rolled back the installation after it failed to start cyvera service. Then I disabled driver signature enforcement in windows and tried installing it, I was able to install agent without any issues. But when I restarted the machine again, Driver signing enforcement turned on and the Traps Agent services failed to start. We have installed traps on 300+ endpoints and most of them are Windows 10 Machines. Currently only this one machine is having this issue. Earlier, during the initial deployment, I had issues with installation on couple of machines, but they all got resolved when I installed them in diagnostic boot with driver signing off. Again, when I tried disabling driver signing using BCDedit command, ( bcdedit /set nointegritychecks on ) I got error that the SecureBoot is enabled and it should be disabled to change Driver signing settings. When I rebooted the PC with Secure Boot disabled from BIOS, Traps started function normally, even with driver signing enforcement Enabled. It would be great if anyone can help me understand why did I faced this issue? - Is it the known issue in 4.2.0 ? - Will the Secure boot in windows will be enabled or disabled by default in windows? - How can the secure boot or driver signing enforcement affect the Traps agent installation? Hello Dears, One of our customer are facing an issue related to our Palo Alto Traps agents installed on their servers. When they try to replicate by means of Double take tool, the servers where Palo Alto Traps agents are installed, Double Take tool is not able to perform replication as it fails to access Traps related folders with following error: " ExecuteAcquireData CAttrsFileOp2 in the call to OpenByName for file 0xC0000022 STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED A process has requested access to an object but has not been granted those access rights. " The replication will be done on all the files except the Traps agent related folders, dll's, and drivers. At last we will get this error. Tried excluding the double take tool processes but no luck. ESM version- 4.2.0 Traps agent version - 4.2.0 hosted on - hyperV processes on the server- doubletake.exe and doubletakeservice.exe What steps could be performed to overcome this error.. Hi Dears, I have a issue regarding the log forwarding. Paloalto logs are forwarded to splunk SIEM in our environment. We were running panos 8.0.10 and the log forwarding was working as expected. Recently we upgraded to version 8.0.12 which is a TAC recommended version. Since upgrade PA appliance is not forwarding the logs in real time. Instead, it is forwarding the logs in bulk 2 or 3 times a day. DR firewall is sending the logs to Splunk indexer. We tested adding a test syslog server to PA device, it is working as expected. Intresting thing is, the other PA firewalls in the network with similar logging configuration are sending logs as expected. Kindly suggest me how the issue can be identified and troubleshooted. Hi dears, I have a query regarding working of #ZoneProtection. What should be the action for #flood protection ? Does the packet allowed or security policy will be checked? Also, packet capture should work if such flood is detected but i am not getting any capture in our logs. Could any one please clarify these? Regards, Sandeep

Hi Dears, We are trying to enable Email Reporting on ESM server. Filled all the required fields with correct information. Using the account which has accessibility to the SMTP Server. Hello, One of our customer is facing the same issue with PA Web GUI... When we login to PaloAlto firewall GUI, the page is not loading intermittently and at times we're getting status code 502 bad gateway as well. When we reload the page, page loads properly. Dataplane doesn't seem to be affected so far. Model PA-5220 Software Version 8.0.8 could any one please advice on this issue.. Regards, Sandeep Rajaiah
