Thanks for reply. no sinkhole ip is returned.cannot resolve the domain. we checked counters also for dns server's traffic,there is no drop.but clients cannot resolve the domain when spyware profile is selected. Hi,   using an internal Dns server client makes request for a domain ???.com and cannot get an answer. from nslookup we see that it cannot resolve the domain. internal dns server to public dns server rule has a spyware profile. There is no threat log for this request.But if we disable spyware profile then client can resolve this name. hi,   we solved the issue with defining a log card interface.Although defining that port was mandatory for 8.1 regarding to Admin guide , it was working fine without that interface.Management interface can forward logs without this port at 8.1 and this was an internal bug , paloalto Tac confirmed. Also if you define only subinterface as log card with ip ,it also fails.So an ip(it can be fake) should be given to log card main interface directly and then subinterface with ip works.   Regards ...
