Firewall 10.1 Essentials: Configuration and Management (EDU-210)

 

Our most popular training class teaches students how to configure and manage Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls through in-depth lectures and hands-on exercises. This course has always taught the principles of Zero Trust, but now in 10.1, will showcase the power of the new Advanced URL Filtering engines.

 

 

In the Firewall 10.1 Essentials: Configuration and Management (EDU-210) course, learn how to: 

  • Configure and manage the essential features of Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls
  • Configure and manage Security and NAT policies to enable approved traffic to and from zones
  • Configure and manage Threat Prevention strategies to block traffic from known and unknown IP addresses, domains, and URLs
  • Monitor network traffic using the interactive web interface and firewall reports

 

Firewall 10.1: Improving Security Posture and Hardening PAN-OS Firewalls (EDU-214)

 

This class teaches students how to ensure their firewall configurations match security best practices through hands-on application. This is especially valuable today as our customers evolve their Security Policy to incorporate the new PAN-OS 10.1 features.

 

 

In the Firewall 10.1: Improving Security Posture and Hardening PAN-OS Firewalls (EDU-214) course, learn how to: 

  • Determine the efficacy of your current security policies
  • Develop workflows for managing your security posture
  • Identify rule usage across security policy sets
  • Modify your existing policy set to implement security best practices
  • Use the interactive web interface and firewall reports to monitor network traffic
  • Use tools such as the BPA tool to further understand your environment

 

Panorama 10.1: Managing Firewalls at Scale (EDU-220)

 

This class teaches students how to utilize Panorama to manage firewalls as their implementation scales. Students gain experience configuring templates (including template variables) and device groups as well as with administration, log collection, and logging and reporting, in preparation for complete Zero Trust Network Security adoption.

 

 

In the Panorama 10.1: Managing Firewalls at Scale (EDU-220) course, learn how to:

  • Configure and manage the next-generation Panorama management server
  • Gain experience configuring templates (including template variables) and device groups
  • Gain experience with administration, log collection, and logging and reporting
  • Become familiar with planning and design considerations for Panorama deployment

 

Firewall 10.1: Troubleshooting (EDU-330)

 

This class enhances student understanding of how to troubleshoot the full line of Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls, including the new ML-Powered Next-Generation Firewalls. Students learn how to investigate networking issues using firewall tools including the CLI, follow proven troubleshooting methodologies specific to individual features, analyze advanced logs to resolve various real-life scenarios, and solve advanced scenario-based challenges.

 

 

In the Firewall 10.1: Troubleshooting (EDU-330) course, learn how to:

  • Use firewall tools, including the CLI, to investigate networking issues
  • Follow proven troubleshooting methodologies that are specific to individual features
  • Analyze advanced logs to resolve various real-life scenarios
  • Solve advanced, scenario-based challenges
