Can we run the XDR on separate port apart from 443?

L1 Bithead

Hello All,

For 1 server we are facing the compatibility issue as the port 443 is required to upload some data for business purpose and that port is also required for the communication of Cortex agent with cortex server.

Can we use some other port for the communication?

Thanks in Advance,

Regards,

Sakshi Seth

Hi @Seth_Sakshi,

As of now, the Cortex XDR tenant does not allow the Cortex XDR agent to directly communicate with the Cortex XDR service on any other port but port 443.

You could, however, configure the Cortex XDR agent to communicate with a Proxy device (like the Cortex XDR's own Broker VM) on another port, 8443, and have the proxy forward that traffic to the Cortex XDR service using port 443.
