Regarding Setting up my University's VPN for another account

L0 Member

Hello, my name is Andrew. I am a student with UCR that needs to use GlobalProtect to sign into my University's VPN to use their academic website resources (library databases, etc.). I am reaching out to you guys because it takes me to the PaloAlto website sign-in portal every time I click on the MacOS directions to use the UCR "off-campus" link to use their resources at home and elsewhere. I need this website to complete further assignments, so your response is needed as soon as possible. I will also attach screenshots of what I am describing, as that would help to clarify what I am seeing on my end. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

Best,

Andrew M.

Hi @andrewm_97 ,

Looks like that page gives you instructions on how to install GP on your Mac.

Are you able to get to the installation instructions on the UCR website? :

https://ucrsupport.service-now.com/ucr_portal/?id=kb_article&sys_id=47d747771bf47550f3444158dc4bcbdd...

Alternatively there's also a video on YouTube containing the installation instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kW3qw2wBKeI&t=138s

If neither of these are working for you I suggest reaching out to UCR IT department.

Kind regards,

-Kim.
