Panorama Management OS Compatibility

L1 Bithead

Hey all,

I saw many discussions about managing Palo Alto FW with lower version than Panorama.
But I wonder if my PA450 FW is at 10.1.12 and my Panorama is at 10.1.10 ,would Panorama will have any issue to manage the FW?

Hello @Marisableb

I have tested scenario a few times in past when maintenance version of PAN-OS of Firewall was higher than what Panorama was running and I can confirm it is functional. In your case having Firewall running 10.1.12 and Panorama 10.1.10 should be still functional. When major or minor versions of PAN-OS are different (For example 10.2.X vs 10.1.X) between Firewall and Panorama, this is when you will run into incompatibility issue.

Kind Regards

Pavel
