We are looking to add a new Vdisk to the Panorama and were wondering what others had experienced... We have already filled up the 10 GB default space.
The document states that if the Vdisk is removed it will revert back to the internal 10GB.. What's the fail over/fault tolerence of the device? If the Vdisk looses connectivity will the Panorama fail over and fail back while still logging or will the device just stop logging temporarily/permenantly until the Vdisk comes back online?

If you're running version 4.0 or higher, the PA device will resume log forwarding to Panorama where it last left off. This process will occur whenever the PA device loses connectivity to Panorama.
Thanks.

Sorry, that is not what I was asking... If the Panorama loses connectivey to the Vdisk.. What is the outcome? Does the Panorama start logging to the 10GB default and then flip back to the Vdisk when it comes back on line or does manual intervention need to take place after connectivity is lost?
PAN>Panorama>10GB default logging
PAN>Panorama>Vdisk 100GB logging
PAN>Panorama> loses connectivity to Vdisk and reverts back to 10GB default logging.
What happens when the Vdisk becomes available again?

Panorama can only utilize 1 disk at a time. If Panorama is configured to use the Vdisk and connectivity to Vdisk is lost, then logs may be lost during the failure. Panorama does not fallback to the default 10GB.
Thanks.

From the documentation...
After the system starts with the new disk, any existing logs on the default disk are moved to
the new virtual disk, and all future log entries are written to the new disk. If the virtual disk is
removed, Panorama automatically reverts back to logging to the default internal 10 GB disk.
This is only if removed not failure?

Correct. This is only on removal and not on temporary disconnection/failure.
