DUNS number required when need subscribe CDEM

L1 Bithead

Hi everyone,

I see the document describe required the DUNS number when need subscribe CDEM and have the document describe what is DUNS.

But, it's doesn't have any document from Palo Alto Network that describe how to get the DUNS number.

I checking at the website "https://www.dnb.com/duns/duns-lookup.html" to finding my company DUNS number but, that website can query only company in US country.

And I tried to finding this domain in my local country but, this website in my local country was down "dnd.co.th".

Why the Palo backend team was not provided information about DUNS number to customer?

Why need customer manual get DUNS number with themself?

It don't have other way to give DUNS number to customer?

1. Why the Palo backend team was not provided information about DUNS number to customer?

https://www.dnb.co.in/duns/get-a-duns request one depending on country. But if it is not available in your country then we can always bypass this and enable CDEM for you via the back end.

2. Why need customer manual get DUNS number with themself?

So DUNS number is the source of truth around which we build an asset map of domains and IPs around a registered organization. An incorrect DUNS could lead to multiple outcomes: Incomplete asset map - fewer domains being tied to the customer Incorrect asset map - domains and IPs from other organizations coming into the asset map.

3. It don't have other way to give DUNS number to customer?

Please open a support case and we can verify in the back end.
