Did you know that Beacon, Palo Alto Networks’ online hub for educational resources, regularly publishes new trainings and courses?

 

Each week, new technical assets are published to Beacon, adding to its library of educational content to help our customers confidently install, deploy, and optimize Palo Alto Networks products.

Threat Prevention Security Subscription

Published October, 2021; Length: 1 hour and 30 minutes 

 

The Threat Prevention Security Subscription course introduces the Palo Alto Networks Threat Prevention subscription, which protects your network by providing multiple layers of prevention, confronting threats at each phase of an attack. In addition to traditional IPS capabilities, Threat Prevention has the unique ability to detect and block threats on all ports instead of invoking signatures based on a limited set of predefined ports.

 

WildFire Subscription Services

Published October 6, 2021; Length: 40 minutes 

 

Palo Alto Networks WildFire® malware prevention subscription service is an advanced cloud-based analysis and prevention engine for malware. The WildFire Service identifies previously unknown malware and generates signatures that Palo Alto Networks firewalls can use to then detect and block the malware. The Palo Alto Networks WildFire Subscription Service course provides an overview of the WildFire subscription service and describes how to configure and update WildFire.

 

Introduction to VM-Series Virtual Firewalls

The Palo Alto Networks Introduction to VM-Series Virtual Firewalls course describes the basic overview of the cloud infrastructure. This course also describes system requirements and licensing options for deploying a VM-Series firewall and network integration features.

The Cortex XDR 3: Handling Cortex XDR Alerts gives insight into Cortex XDR alerts and how you can analyze alerts in causality and timeline views.

 

Cortex XDR 3: Performing Investigations

Published October 8, 2021; Length: 1 hour and 18 minutes 

 

The Cortex XDR 3: Performing Investigations course describes Cortex XDR incidents, as well as how you can investigate files using Hash View, endpoints using Asset View, and networks using IP View.

 

VM-Series Virtual Firewalls on AWS

Published October 11, 2021; Length: 1 hour and 24 minutes 

 

The Palo Alto Networks VM-Series Firewalls on AWS course provides an overview of AWS services and concepts related to the VM-Series virtual firewall. This course also describes the options for deploying a VM-Series firewall on AWS and how a VM-Series firewall secures inbound, outbound, and east-west traffic within AWS and how to implement traffic resiliency.

 

Cortex XDR 3: Building Search Queries

The Palo Alto Networks VM-Series Firewalls on Azure course provides an overview of Azure services and concepts related to the VM-Series virtual firewall. This course also describes the system requirements, deployment options, and traffic flows on Azure deployments.

 

Cortex XSOAR 6.2: Threat Intel Management

Published October 18, 2021; Length: 45 minutes 

 

This course describes the threat intel capabilities of Cortex XSOAR, including the new features introduced in the 6.2 release.

 

Prisma Cloud Anomaly Detection

Published October 20, 2021; Length: 40 minutes

 

The Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud Anomaly Detection course describes the out-of-the-box anomaly detection policies and how to configure them to detect possible threat attacks early.
