well it's vmware appliance.
It contains linux distribution, mainly LAMP and many dependencies.
It's update mechanism is also based on linux standard "apt-get update" "apt-get upgrade" commands.
As you see in current project stage would be not easy to port it to Windows.
You could convert it to use on other hypervisors(hyperv) or in cloud.
I believe there are not many vmware appliances on windows mainly because of licensing...
