Im running a query in Investigate, like
event where cloud.account = 'XXX ' AND crud = 'login'
and IP addresses are not converted to locations, the Location and Country columns are displaying Unknown.
am I overlooking something?

Hi @PFabian ,
Were you able to find the answer in the meantime ?
I'm wondering if the IP addresses returned in your query aren't private or another type of reserved address.
Cheers !

Looks like at the time this events was ingested, that we were unable to determine the location data for the IPs. What is the time range for these events?

26 and 27 September.
the account already expired as it was a 30 day trial so I cannot show it. Ive some screenshots of the output of the query.

GeoLocation is not determined in some scenarios, such as
These are determined based on the CSP. Which account type were you querying on? It is possible that based on the above two points, the location couldn't be determined.

let me quote the query from my original post:
event where cloud.account = 'XXX ' AND crud = 'login'
aws console login events, I see no reason why the IPs could not be mapped to location..

Can you please open a support ticket with a screenshot of the query results, so we can debug? We'd need to understand if any of those IPs might be generated from internal events or classified as Private.

-it was a 30 days trial so I was not able to open any tickets
-it expired in early October..
Ive screenshots archived so if you work for PaloAlto I can email them to you if it helps.

I suspect in this case, the event info is captured prior to getting the login info. We have an internal team looking into geo location issues.
