Has anyone done this to date?

Eventhough we are running version 31.0.58 (latest at the current time) is there an easy way to determine if running Ubuntu without having to Live terminal to the BVM?

(waiting on client to open 'https://lrc-<region>.paloaltonetworks.com' to enable live terminal access)

Hi @PA_nts,

 

In short, it is not possible to view the Ubuntu version from the Cortex UI, as there is no simple UI-based method to confirm the Ubuntu version running on the Broker VM.

 

Once Live Terminal is enabled, you can easily verify the Ubuntu version by running either of the following commands:

  • cat /etc/os-release

  • lsb_release -a

Alternatively, if SSH access to the Broker VM is configured, you can SSH into the Broker VM to view the Broker VM OS details. To use this method, SSH access must first be enabled on the Broker VM.
