Just wondering if anyone else has come across a situation where they were unable to load the Dashboard when logging into Panorama 7.1.9; or is this a one-off issue that only we have hit?
Didn't matter which browser we used (ancient version of Firefox, older version of Firefox, latest version of Firefox, older Chrome, latest Chrome) the symptoms were the same: after the login page, only a blank, white page is displayed. Using View Source, there's lots of HTML and Javascript shown, just nothing displays in the browser.
Looking at the VMware console, there was a spike to 100% CPU for the Panorama VM about an hour before we attempted the logins, and a few spikes to 50% CPU.
A manual shutdown via the console login to power off the VM, then power it on again, made everything work again. We're just wondering if anyone else has run into something similar to this.
This is the first issue we've had with Panorama, and (of course) it happens a few weeks after upgrading from 6.0.10 to 7.1.9. 🙂
Cheers,
Freddie

a quicker fix than rebooting should be to restart the management service
> debug software restart process management-server
if this happens often you may want to reach out to support to have this investigated. (in case you do, either restart the mgmt with a core operation so you have that to provide support, or leave it in a locked state so tac can investigate. i've had several customers in the past that rebooted the device and then called in, only for us to no longer have any leads and having to wait for the next event)
> debug software restart core yes process management-server
> request tech-support dump
