DHCP and DDNS Configuration

Hey All, I received a question from a client this morning, who is migrating their Cisco ASA to PANW. The Palo Alto will act as a DHCP server for a couple zones on the network. He wants to know if PAN has a similar feature as the ASA to support Dynamic DNS, where the DDNS update integrates DNS with DHCP. According to the below article the two protocols are complementary—DHCP centralizes and automates IP address allocation, while dynamic DNS update automatically records the association between assigned addresses and hostnames. http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa82/configuration/guide/config/dhcp.html#wp11145... Has anyone come across this scenario? How did you address this? Thank you

The PA DHCP leave actually keeps the hostname of all Leases across the device by default when acting as a DHCP server. So the command show dhcp server lease all will show the following as an example:

I'm pretty sure you can view the same information in the GUI on the device itself through the allocation on the DHCP Server tab under Network. Not a 100% on that though.

@BPry Indeed you can see the same info in the UI under Network > DHCP > Server tab > "View Allocation" link under the IP Pools column:
