Hi Guys
I need some help/thoughts on how to do the following:
I have 5 Panorama servers that are virtual in Montreal.
I need to move them ffrom Montreal to a different VMWare environment in Chicago
I need to know if there are any problems with doing such a thing.
Is there a document that can be found to do this.
I am concerned about a different CPUID/UUID being different from one VMWare server to another.
I mean, how else do you prevent someone from buying a single copy of software and deploying it in multiple locations (that do not talk to each other)
Help! :smileysilly:

Hi Scantwell,
Another thing is each VM has different CPUId/UUID, lets say one license is purchased and its requested to tie with a particular Panorama. So, Palo Alto Network will tie license to CPUID/UUID of that Panorama.
If any one decides to move license from one Panorama to other than he has to put a request with Palo Alto Networks. We ask for reason and if its approved license is moved to another VM, which means license is tie with new CPUID/UUID.
Licenses is valid on older devices for 30 days. after that it will not get any updates, which can severely impair production network.

Hello Scantwell,
Also, without a valid license installed on a VM, it will accept only 100 sessions through it. Hence, you will not be able to use it in a production environment.
Thanks
