Is it possible to fetch UPN (universal principle name) from AD using User ID agent instead of login name?

L4 Transporter

Hi All,

Is it possible to fetch UPN (universal principle name) from AD using User ID agent?

In our organization domain login name will be alphanumeric eg :

Login name :    palo1039

                                                                                                  Account name : paloalto123

UPN :  paloalto123@labnewage.com

When user logs in with login name its very difficult to identify the exact user because user name will be in alphanumeric  CHE1234, CHE4356

Also we allow user to use UPN to login, when users login with the UPN is it possible fetch the the UPN name instead of login name again. Any settings required in AD?

We tried this in our lab, below is the snaps for the same

Settings in AD    ,UPN=  Paloalto123@labnewag.com , Login name : Palo1039

I loged in with UPN   paloalto123@labnewage.com, login was successful, but in User ID agent still it is showing my login ID ie : Palo1039 below snap shows the same

Can any one give any suggestions or solution to get UPN name instead login name.

Regards,

Gururaj

Hi Gururaj,

Had the same issue couple of month ago and it seem that changing the mapped var inthe UID is not possible, it only be able to use the login ID.

Maybe it change  but it was like that for me. If someone have more info ... correct me.

Hope help.
