No Information on Core0 and Core3 - PA 220

L0 Member

Hi everyone,

After reading the topic "How to Troubleshoot High Dataplane CPU", I realize that my PA 220 got no information on Core 0 and 3. Anyone meet this case ? If this is an error, I need to open a support case ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards,

This is expected behavior. On the PA220, cores 0 and 3 are responsible for MP (management plane) duties. Cores 1 and 2 are used for the dataplane. Since you’re running a dataplane command, you’ll only see output for the two dataplane cores.

Thank you for your reply.

Do you know any commands to show information on Core 0 and Core 3 ?

I read a topic and get the following explanation:

  • Core 0: used for Management Plane (MP) and Data Plane (DP) communication
  • Core 1: used for session and flow management
  • Core 2 and above: used to process network traffic and log processing

It confused me a lot.
