PA1420 HA Mode stucks in Initial (HA Initializing) mode for too long

L1 Bithead

HI All,

We have an Active Passive PA-1420 which is connected together via H1-A and H1-B together.

But when we restart the nodes or either of the nodes, the Passive PA stucks in Initial (HA Initializing) mode for too long. The last time i checked

We restarted the devices at 12:25:00 and I last time checked 1:00:00 it was still in the same mode.

Please adivse on how to get it fixed.

Please note that H1A and H1B are connected to the HA control and HA Data is via the HA2 which we haven't connected via cable.

Thank you.

Hello @S.Alizada

thanks for post!

From your description I am not sure whether I understand HA2 is connected or not. If it is not connected, then this is expected: HA peer stuck in Initial (Waiting for state synchronization completion). If HA2 is connected and functional, the next thing I would be looking are logs in ha_agent.log via CLI. Could you also share PAN-OS version you are running?

Kind Regards

Pavel

HA initialization process requires HA2 to be connected so the state table can be synchronized.
