Hi,
we are deploying two Palo Alto 3050 physical firewalls in our datacenters and for log collection would like to install Panorama solution. Please if some can clarify the below,
1- Do I need two Panorama licenses to buy with firewalls?
2- Can we install Panorama software on VM machine to mange our pair of PA 3050 firewalls or do we need any physical appliance for panaorama?
3- Do I need anything else ( as recomendation) ?
Regards.

Hi Mohammed,
I would suggest engaging with your reseller for some pre-sales on it.. but generally
1. panorama licence for the vm's covers up to 25 devices generally, more can be requested if needed.
2. depends on the work the vm is going to do. ie ingestion rates. sizing guide is below. If below the threshold for vm's no physical devcie needed, if not may need the m-100 or m-500.

3. A support licence on the panorama lets you manage the software upgrades and dynamic updates on the managed devices.
Nice course for the panorama is the pan-221;

hope this helps,
