PAN-OS HTML Variable <user/> Format?

L3 Networker

Hello,

I am developing custom Response Pages for our site and have a question concerning the <user/> variable's format.  The 'book' says that this variable will have "the username (if available) or IP address of the user".

My question is if the user name is available - how is it formatted? (i.e. what does it look like if you have the user name?)    I want to detect if I have an authenticated user versus non-authenticated user for which "page" to display.

Thanks

I guess that depends on if you use a captive portal (and lets say auth against local db) or if you use ts/pan-agent and auth against some domain.

When using ts-agent the look is: domain\username (lets say domain is test and username is wassap then its displayed as: test\wassap).
