procedure to clear logs of M200 disk-pair

L3 Networker

M200 is in HA with local log collector configured on both panorama and log redundancy enabled. We want to disable redundancy to gain additional space for logging.

We want to clear logs of Secondary Panorama M200 disk-pairs and use it for logging from scratch. No procedure found in Panorama Admin guide.

Please suggest best way to clear the stored logs of Secondary M200 local log collector , so we can get additional space for logging.

You can either clear logs from the GUI or from CLI of the M200 which you do not want

clear log

> acc             ACC database

> alarm           Alarm logs

> auth            Authentication logs

> config          Configuration logs

> globalprotect   GlobalProtect logs

> gtp             Tunnel and GTP logs

> hipmatch        Hipmatch database

> iptag           Iptag logs

> sctp            SCTP logs

> system          System logs

> threat          Threat logs

> traffic         Traffic logs

> userid          User-ID logs

GUI

Navigate to Device > Log Setting > Manage Logs.

Hi @Deepak25

As far as I know you don't need to clear the logs for this. Change the mode to loc collector and use it in the log collector group with the quotas you need. Theoretically the logs are still on the disk but they will be overriden as new logs are sent from the firewalls and thats it.

Hi @Remo

we want to clear the logs/disk to get additional space for logging. Panorama M200 is in HA with redundancy and storing 6 months logs in both panorama and 95% utilized , to store next 6 months logs we want to disable redundancy and clear the logs of secondary panorama to reuse it for logging with 0% disk-space utilization.
