I want to run Kaspersky VPN traffic through GlobalProtect VPN. Is this possible?

L0 Member

I'm trying to to run VPN traffic from Kaspersky through GlobalProtect, but when I have them both running and look at my IP, it still shows as the IP provided by Kaspersky and not the GlobalProtect IP. Is there a way to do this with Kaspersky? Otherwise what VPN setup would work

@ThatGuy738247,

Generally speaking running two VPNs at the same time is never something that anyone would recommend. Kaspersky appears to be doing a full tunnel (IE: Sending all traffic through its VPN network interface). Depending on the GlobalProtect configuration it could be attempting to utilize a split-tunnel or a full tunnel. Short of having way more control over the Kaspersky VPN than I would expect you to have, you would need to do a lot of static routes each time you connect to get this to behave properly.

Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately I'm not very technical when it comes to networking. How would I do static routes? Is there perhaps a VPN besides Kaspersky that would be more appropriate for this? My main goal is just to tunnel any VPN traffic through globalprotect, so it doesn't have to be Kaspersky specifically.

@ThatGuy738247,

That isn't something I could really guide you through without additional information; it also isn't something that I would recommend mucking around with unless you know exactly what you're doing.

I'm still very confused on why you want to route a consumer VPN product through GlobalProtect. If you have control over the GlobalProtect configuration just set it up as a full tunnel and there's no inherent reason why you should want a consumer VPN active.

If you don't have control over GlobalProtect and it's setup solely as a split-tunnel, then I don't understand why you're concerned about tunneling this Kaspersky VPN connection through GlobalProtect. Whoever setup GlobalProtect doesn't want to process all of your traffic and even with proper routing the traffic could still be denied from a policy aspect and it wouldn't be allowed to pass anyways.
