To my knownledge this is not supported. 
Even if you run them in HA, they are still 2 individual firewalls.

Hello,

Depends on what you are monitoring. Since the HA PANs are logically one device, you can monitor one of the 'shared' interface IP's to see if its up or not. I would recommend just monitoring each one as its own device so that you can tell if its offline or not.
