Probably one of the most simple questions going, but coming from a large on prem environment, I'm trying to understand how its meant to look from an AzurePOV.
Typically, when we have a new server in say a /29 , i create a new sub interface for that vlan on the firewall, add a zone to it etc and crack on.
Am i right in thinking that the "azure" way is simply a new interface, attach it to the VM and assign the subnet to that interface?
Just wondering because that means restarting the firewall to do that.. Or is there a special other way to do this?
Cant find clear info on it.
Thanks

Hi Graham. This is not the best way to setup your FW/Network in Azure. Please take a look at the Reference Architecture Design Guide for Azure and the accompanying Deployment Guide. This will give you the best methods. It also might be a good idea to have a discussion with your local SE, if you don't have one, we can find the appropriate resource for you. Cheers!
