Phased Migration of AIOps for NGFW Free to Strata Cloud Manager

L0 Member

Starting March 17, 2025, we will begin migrating AIOps for NGFW Free customers to Strata Cloud Manager through a phased approach over several weeks.

(Note: We had to push our original migration date from January 2025, which was the original date on this post)

The migration of AIOps for NGFW Free does not impact any licenses you have purchased from Palo Alto Networks.

A banner on the Palo Alto Networks Hub Portal and the AIOps for NGFW Free application UI will notify you before and after your instance is migrated.

What Stays the Same

  • All firewalls from your AIOps for NGFW Free instance will be automatically migrated and associated with the new Strata Cloud Manager instance.
  • Historical telemetry data and insights generated by AIOps, including alerts, will automatically migrate to the new Strata Cloud Manager instance.
  • The new Strata Cloud Manager instance will continue to provide access for all users you previously authorized.

What Changes

  1. Following the migration, the AIOps for NGFW tile will no longer be available. Instead, you will need to use the Strata Cloud Manager tile to access features.

  2. If you have bookmarked the URL for AIOps for NGFW Free, you will need to update it after the migration is complete.

Our scheduled reports for the last week have been sent daily missing ALL data, DNS and Wildfire reports! Is this due to the migration? If not, who is a good point of contact to get support for this issue?

The banner indicating that AIOps will be migrated to strata cloud manager in the next few days has been showing at the bottom of the Dashboard for weeks.  Is there a delay in migrating to SCM?

Hi @psenaphaty ,

I just spoke with a TAC engineer.  He told me the SCM icon is SCM Pro (formerly AIOps Premium) and I should continue to use AIOps for NGFW Free icon to access the free version of SCM.

Thanks,

Tom
