Welcome to the May edition of Always Innovating in NetSec, where we spotlight the latest advancements redefining what’s possible in cybersecurity. This month, we’re showcasing how Palo Alto Networks continues to lead the charge—from launching a new Palo Alto Networks TV series that brings our Cloud-Delivered Security Services (CDSS) to life, to earning top marks in independent third-party evaluations. We’re also tackling emerging threats, such as unauthorized AI bots in virtual meetings, and unveiling new capabilities, like ADEM for NGFW, that elevate the user experience across hybrid environments. Let’s dive into the innovations helping you stay secure, agile, and ahead of modern threats.
In our new Palo Alto Networks TV CDSS series, Revolutionizing Security to Stop Threats Before They Strike, we take you inside the innovations redefining modern cybersecurity. Each episode explores how Cloud-Delivered Security Services (CDSS) provide real-time, AI-powered protection that stops attacks before they can cause harm. We kick off the series with a deep dive into Advanced Threat Prevention (ATP)—our next-generation intrusion prevention solution that blocks zero-day threats and evasive techniques before they ever reach your network—and Advanced WildFire (AWF), which stops evasive malware before it ever takes off.
Join us to see how CDSS goes beyond the traditional playbook—leveraging Precision AI, deep learning, and high-fidelity threat intelligence to stop modern attacks in their tracks. Be sure to check out our promotional blog from Xu Zou, our SVP of Products, for more details.
The latest report from SecureIQLab confirms what we've long known—Palo Alto Networks sets the standard for stopping modern threats. In a rigorous evaluation of leading Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) vendors using the Cobalt Strike and Empire frameworks, we achieved an impressive 97.02% overall command-and-control (C2) block rate, including a perfect 100% against Empire and 94.04% against Cobalt Strike, outperforming the competition by a significant margin.
As AI-powered meeting assistants—such as note-takers, transcription bots, and productivity enhancers—become increasingly commonplace in virtual collaboration, many organizations are inadvertently introducing new security and compliance risks. These AI bots often operate without clear oversight, creating blind spots in sensitive conversations and violating internal data governance policies. This blog introduces Palo Alto Networks’ new AI Bot Detection and Control capabilities, available through AI Access Security and SSPM, providing enterprises with the tools to identify and manage unauthorized bots in real-time. Learn how to regain visibility, enforce AI governance, and safeguard your hybrid workforce from emerging AI-driven threats.
We're excited to announce that Autonomous Digital Experience Management (ADEM) now extends its support to Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) for both mobile users and SD-WAN deployments. This release provides end-to-end visibility into NGFW remote users and branch locations, delivering a unified Digital Experience Management (DEM) approach. ADEM now monitors application experience for users connecting via NGFW Gateways and from NGFW SD-WAN branches, offering real-time insights into user, branch, application, and IT infrastructure health. Key benefits include rapid issue discovery, AI-driven remediation, and seamless native integrations, optimizing user and app performance while ensuring unified visibility across SASE and NGFW environments. Learn more here.
Innovation doesn’t pause—and neither do we. As threats grow more sophisticated and user expectations rise, Palo Alto Networks continues to lead with powerful, intelligent solutions that are purpose-built for today’s evolving landscape. Whether you're tuning into our CDSS series, safeguarding virtual meetings, or enhancing branch and remote user experiences with ADEM, we’re here to help you stay secure, agile, and always a step ahead. Stay tuned for more updates in next month’s edition of Always Innovating in NetSec.
