Palo Alto Networks introduces the Prisma SD-WAN Enterprise Agreement (EA) to resolve the logistical burden and complexities of fragmented global renewals and high-volume SKU quoting. Read about our customer-focused features that are included in the EA and how it can provide a clear path for expansion with stabilized ramp-up costs.
Say Hello to the Prisma SD-WAN Enterprise Agreement
Commercial transactions can have tremendous operational complexity for large SD-WAN customers placing new expansion orders or renewals. Managing thousands of quotes to be generated and approved during expansions or renewals diverts IT leaders from focusing on network performance and security.
With the new Prisma SD-WAN EA, we are taking our commitment to operational simplicity to the next level. Organizations need a unified licensing model that consolidates their entire SD-WAN estate under a single agreement. By aggregating our customer's entire estate into unified auth codes, we are showing how we truly want our customers to have streamlined operations and a secure infrastructure.
Prisma SD-WAN EA Features
The new Prisma SD-WAN EA offering is composed of three key elements:
The Prisma SD-WAN EA covers ION Devices. To qualify, the current and projected ION hardware estate list price must exceed $750,000, and FedRAMP customers do not currently qualify. Note that the Prisma SD-WAN EA is a separate contract from the NGFW EAs and is not transferable to or from other products.
Enterprise License Agreement (ELA)
Along with the broader EA, we also want to remind you about the Enterprise License Agreement (ELA) component.
The ELA provides a consolidated licensing framework exclusively for Prisma SD-WAN, bringing together SD-WAN connectivity, security, and management subscriptions under a single enterprise program. The Core ELA includes a foundational subscription for secure branch networking, App-ID, User-ID, and Device-ID SD-WAN policy, and Zone-based firewall branch segmentation. You also get unified management via Strata Cloud Manager. Organizations can optionally extend their ELA with add-on subscriptions like Branch Security (CDSS), Device/IoT Security, SCM Pro, and Strata Logging Service (SLS). Furthermore, the ELA eliminates usage-based bandwidth limitations, enabling enterprises to harness the full performance capabilities of their existing hardware infrastructure.
Enterprise Support Agreement (ESA)
In addition to the ELA, we have also created the Enterprise Support Agreement (ESA) to manage your hardware support.
The ESA delivers a streamlined and consistent support experience across all Prisma SD-WAN ION hardware devices. It provides 24/7 round-the-clock technical access, direct access to Support Engineers with less than 1-hour response times for Severity 1 critical issues, and standard Next Business Day (NBD) RMAs for hardware replacement. For critical sites that cannot tolerate extended downtime, an optional 4-Hour RMA Support add-on guarantees hardware replacement within four hours of a confirmed failure.
All of these offerings work together to provide you with the most frictionless deployment and support experience possible.
We hope that our commercial simplicity stands out from the competition, just like our security products.
