Palo Alto Networks recently launched PAN-OS 9.0, which has more than 60 new features, including a brand-new integrated DNS Security service, new hardware, expanded cloud environment support and scalability enhancements, and a built-in tool to help customers adopt best practices.

 

If you are preparing for the PCNSA certification exam or just want to freshen up your knowledge, two new courses have been made available with narrated and interactive modules, demonstrations, and knowledge check questions.

 

Firewall 9.0 Essentials: Configuration and Management (EDU-110) takes about 14 hours and 20 minutes to complete and it's introductory level. It's a primer for the Firewall 9.0 Essentials: Configuration and Management (EDU-210) instructor-led training. This course is essential if you intend the take the live class.

 

EDU-110 will help you learn how to:

  • Configure and manage the essential features of Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls
  • Configure and manage GlobalProtect to protect systems that are located outside of the data-center perimeter
  • Configure and manage firewall high availability
  • Monitor network traffic using the interactive web interface and firewall reports

Panorama 9.0: Managing Firewalls at Scale (EDU-120) takes about six hours and is intermediate level. 

It is recommended to complete the EDU-110 and, if possible, attend EDU-210 before taking this course as it will bring all you learned together from a management perspective.

 

This course takes you through the concepts to:

  • Learn how to configure and manage the next-generation Panorama management server
  • Leverage Device Groups, Templates and Template Variables
  • Gain knowledge about Log Collection, Forwarding, Aggregated Monitoring and Reporting
  • Become familiar with High Availability Design and Troubleshooting
  • Learn about Public Cloud, Cortex Data Lake and GlobalProtect Cloud Service

 

To access these courses, you need a Palo Alto Networks account in the Learning Center. If you do not have an existing account with Palo Alto Networks, go to the Learning Center Login page to register for an account. Select the appropriate user type and follow the directions provided to create an account. Be sure to register using your business or academic email address based on your relationship with Palo Alto Networks.
