On October 22, Fuel hosted another Fuel Workshop introducing you to the recommended process for how to active and register a Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) using the PANW Customer Support Portal (CSP) as well as how to get your NGFW integrated into Strata Logging and Strata Cloud Manager. This presentation given by Cindy Nguyen and Darren Bishop , assisted by Angelo Eisma and Alberto Rivai, went through all of the necessary steps for how to get up and running, getting all of your dynamics licenses loaded onto the NGFW, and how to make sure your firewall's OS is up to date.
In the second part of our sessions, Angelo Eisma, assisted by Alberto Rivai answering questions in the chat, did an introduction to advanced troubleshooting steps when you have a high CPU dataplane. With these steps, you are shown how to reset the necessary counter and look at debugging information to determine if the issue is with your switch, with the firewall, or somewhere else on your network. Angelo does a great job showing you how to debug using pcap files and Wireshark as well as using the CLI of the NGFW to identify and fix your issues.
