Broker VM migration

L3 Networker

Hi All,

We are planning to do the following for the migration, can you pls validate if this is gonna work or not-

- We will import the configuration to new broker
- This will shutdown the old broker
- Since we have 2 BVM , we should not have any connectivity issues bw the agent and console
- We will then change the IP of the new bvm to that of the old BVM
- All the agents where this BVM is set should start communicating

Regards,

Shahwaz

Hi Shahwaz_Md,

Once the IP configuration is completed, all the endpoints will automatically connect to the new broker VM. We did not experience any downtime during this process.

We have completed the entire activity during the organization's downtime period.

Hi Shahwaz_Md,

We have followed the same process, and it was easy to migrate the broker VM. We did not encounter any issues during the broker VM migration process, so this method is very straightforward. I hope this information is helpful for you.

Thanks Vinoth,

Once the IP is changed, all agents will start communicating automatically as this proxy is set on the endpoints, right? Also did you observe any downtime at any point?
