I have an issue when trying to update users to the latest version of cortex. The control panel shows that Cortex is not installed but the Cortex Icon shows up in the system tray and I can access the console from there. When I run the uninstall tool the system does not accept the password which I know is the correct one because it works on other machines. Starting the computer in safe mode is not an option because the users are remote. The user was on version 8.0 I am trying to update them to 8.4
When I try to install 8.4 the setup ends prematurely.
I have the log from the machine were this issue occurred.

This clearly indicates that the Agent is broken and you need to run the cleaner to reinstall the agent. May be you can reach out to support to find better alternative.
