Future of Cortex XDR

L4 Transporter

Hello dear community,

we all now the future of SOC is Cortex XSIAM.

What will happen to Cortex XDR in the future? I didn't see any planned new KI implementations into XDR.

If you have more informations, please let me know.

Hi @RFeyertag ,

The concept of Cortex XSIAM is designed out of the merging of the Cortex platform into one platform as a unified pane of glass for all complete security context.

This in turn signifies that Cortex XDR, Cortex XPANSE, Cortex XSOAR are integrated tightly into one interface. The base design platform of Cortex XSIAM is designated on Cortex XDR platform which essentially proves that the endpoint security is the fundamental parameter for the cortex platform as a use case. Cortex XDR as a result is PANW's north star endpoint security objective in our product portfolio and we aim to keep it as is.

The Cortex XDR also has key implementations as a feature set which aligns with the direction of Cortex XSIAM and will continue to do so.

For your reference I have appended the release notes for you.

This would essentially prove that the Cortex XDR would always be an integral element of Cortex as a platform for Palo Alto Networks platform.

Hope this helps

Thank you! Will Cortex XDR also get the new GEN AI implementations which were announced some days before?
