A Few Quick Questions About the Community Edition

L0 Member

Hello All,

Disclaimer: I am a huge XSOAR admin user at work, and was hoping for a community edition that I could run in my lab even if it is slightly limited.

  • Is it OK to just run the Community Edition of XSOAR?
  • Once I start my 3 day trial and it runs out, just how bad of an experience is it?
  • What exactly gets turned off?

Regards,

Jeff

The community edition is no longer distributed and is going EOL:

Licenses • Cortex XSOAR Administrator Guide • Palo Alto Networks documentation portal

As far as I know, every license allows you to have a Production environment and a Development environment. I know that because I was trying to achieve the same thing as you and we came up with that to solve it.

That is sad to hear that Palo Alto is doing away with the community edition. I guess I will have to find another solution for my lab.

I can't pay for my own license right now.
