Latest upgrade file please?

L2 Linker

Can someone point me in the direction of downloading the latest upgrade file please?  I am hoping that this is not an OVA file but just an addition to my existing OVA build?

Hi @SusanACollins

Currently we are not offering an OVA file for Expedition1.

Instead you can download the installation script (https://conversionupdates.paloaltonetworks.com/expedition1_Installer_latest.tgz) and execute it over an ubuntu 20.04 server image. Please check the installation guide for more information (https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/Expedition-Articles/Expedition-Documentation/ta-p/215619).

Furthermore Expedition2 Beta, based on docker containers, is also available by following the instructions on below article: https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/expedition-articles/introducing-expedition-2-beta/ta-p/542787

Hope this helps,

David

Thanks for this info.  Unfortunately my existing VS is only running Ubuntu 16.04.4, so very out of date.  I understand this can be difficult to upgrade?

Hi @SusanACollins , For Expedition1 I will recommend to deploy a new VM with Ubuntu 20.04.

Another path could be to move to Expedition2, witch you can install into your laptop using Docker desktop or in a VM using other Docker engines.
Hope this helps,

David

Hi Dpuigdomenec,

all these links seem not available right now.

Do you know if it's just a temporary issue with the file hosting?

I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused, but the service is not up and running for installation nor updates.

While we work on restoring it, I'd suggest you consider checking out the Expedition2 beta program.

Its current features might align with your needs. https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/expedition-articles/introducing-expedition-2-beta/ta-p/542787
