3200 and 5200 Series New Interface Types

Can you please help us with the new 3200 and 5200 interface types, because it is not very clear in the hardware documentation?

• The firewalls now have HA1 and HA1-Backup dedicated ports. The 5200 also have AUX-1 and AUX-2. Can we still use any other data or management port for HA1 or HA1 Backup?
• The HSCI interface can be used for high speed HA2 direct connection. Can we use any Data Plane Interface for HA2?
• Is there a requirement for Log Forwarding to Panorama or external server to be over dedicated interface? Can it still be done over the built in Management link?
• Is there any other interface limitation for the 3200 and 5200 series?

• You can still use the management port, you can't use a dataplane port for HA1
• If you set one or more datplane interfaces to type "HA", you can assign these to HA2
• The default for log forwarding is out of the management interface (except for tha PA-7000 series)
• What do you mean by limitations? The hsci cannot be used for regular traffic, for example
